Our Story

Duck Valley Housing Authority began in 1963 in coordination with the Deparment of Housing and Urban Development and the Shoshone Paiute Tribe.  Duck Valley Housing Authority builds Low Rental units and Home Ownership units for Low Income Families.
Over the past 50 years the Duck Valley Housing Authority has constructed 338 homes consisting of 76 Low Rent and 262 Home Ownership units and the Crater View Apartments, a 12 unit apartment complex.

  • 1963-NV 6-2 1937 Housing Act – 15 homeowner units
  • 1969-NV 6-3 1937 Housing Act – 30 homeowner units
  • 1979-NV 6-5 1937 Housing Act – 23 homeowner units
  • 1982-NV 6-9 1937 Housing Act – 55 homeowner units
  • 1985-NV 6-10 1937 Housing Act – 24 homeowner units
  • 1986-NV 6-12 1937 Housing Act – 29 homeowner units
  • 1994-NV 6-16 1937 Housing Act – 1 conversion

Project NV 6-1 (1964) Self Help Project

About Us
A total of 15 homes were built in 1964.  All homes are currently occupied and title conveyed.  Families helped construct the homes with the assistance of a contractor.  These homes were built on home sites though-out various locations in the community.  

Project NV 6-11 (1986) 19 unit Low Rental Project

About Us
This Modular Housing Project was constructed in 1985.  A total of 19 Low Rental Homes were constructed, consisting of 2 and 3 bedroom homes with some units featuring handicapped accessibility features.

Project NV 6-17 (2002) 20 unit Home Ownership Project

About Us
This Home Ownership project of 20 manufactured homes constructed under the NAHASDA program were developed in 2002.  The homes consist of 3 and 4 bedroom homes.

Project NV 6-20 (2012) 16 unit Home Ownership Project

About Us
This is a Modular Project constructed by ZETA Homes in Sacramento, California.  This is a 3 bedroom unit housing project, constructed in 2012.  The participants moved into their homes in November 2012.
